Initial server configuration

Before opening your server to players, a few important steps are required.

⚙️ Check server settings

Start by reviewing all server configuration options and make sure everything is correct on your side.

We recommend:

  • Setting the View Distance to the maximum you are comfortable with
⚠️ Important: View distance is the biggest factor in RAM usage*If your server uses too much RAM, reduce the view distance

  • Setting the number of player slots according to your needs

Take a moment to double-check these settings before starting the server.

▶️ Start the server

Once your configuration is ready, start your server using the Start button in the control panel.

🔐 Authenticate your server (required)

After the server starts, authentication is required before players can join.

You can authenticate in one of the following ways:

Option 1: From the logs

  • In the server logs, look for “DEVICE AUTHORIZATION”
  • Click the second link shown
  • Complete the authentication process

Option 2: From the popup

  • Click the Authenticate button (yellow button)
  • Complete the authentication process

Confirm authentication

Once authentication is complete, you should see the following green message in the console:

Authentication successful! Use '/auth status' to view details.

To save your authentication, run the following command in the console:

/auth persistence Encrypted

🌐 Connect to your server

After authentication is saved, you can connect to your server using its IP address.

Your server is now fully configured and ready to use.
